App Overview & Purpose

MathAdventure is an educational mobile application developed to help students learn and practice mental mathematics and abacus-based arithmetic. The App is specifically designed for learners enrolled with Shraddha Institute's programs.

Core features of the App include:

Interactive mental math practice sessions (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division)
Configurable flash-based number exercises and timed challenges
Progress tracking, scoreboard, and performance analytics
Role-based access for students and administrators

The App is intended for educational use only and does not contain in-app purchases, advertisements, or social networking features.

Information We Collect

Children's Privacy & Parental Consent

MathAdventure is designed for use by children enrolled in Shraddha Institute's academic programmes. We recognise our special obligation to protect children's personal data and comply with applicable Indian regulations governing children's data under the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023.

All student accounts for users under 18 years of age require parental or guardian consent at the time of enrolment with Shraddha Institute
Student accounts are created by Institute administrators — children do not self-register directly in the App
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children outside of the supervised educational context of the Institute
Parents or guardians may contact us at info@shraddhainstitute.in to request review, correction, or deletion of their child's data
We do not display advertisements, third-party links, or social features accessible to child users

If you believe your child's information has been collected without proper consent, please contact us immediately at info@shraddhainstitute.in and we will take prompt corrective action.

Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties. We may share data only in strictly limited circumstances described below:

Supabase (Database & Authentication Provider): Our backend infrastructure is hosted on Supabase, a secure cloud database provider. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Supabase processes data strictly as a data processor on our behalf and does not have rights to use your data independently.
Authorised Institute Staff: Administrators and designated educators at Shraddha Institute may access student performance data for educational oversight purposes only.
Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or request from a competent government authority under applicable Indian law.
Safety & Security: We may share information to investigate, prevent, or address fraud, security threats, or violations of our Terms and Conditions.

Any third-party service providers we engage are contractually bound to process personal data only for specified purposes and to maintain data confidentiality consistent with applicable Indian data protection laws.

Data Security

We take the security of your personal data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to safeguard it against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Our security practices include:

TLS Encryption: All data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2/1.3)
Encrypted Storage: Data at rest in our database is encrypted using industry-standard AES-256 encryption
Secure Authentication: User authentication is managed via Supabase Auth with hashed passwords — plaintext passwords are never stored
Access Controls: Role-based access control (RBAC) ensures that users can only access data relevant to their role (student or admin)
Session Management: Secure token-based sessions with automatic expiry to prevent unauthorised access
Regular Reviews: We periodically review our security practices and update our systems to address emerging threats

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, please note that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach, we will notify affected users as required by the DPDP Act, 2023.

Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Our retention periods are:

Upon account deletion or expiration, all associated personal data is permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.

Your Rights Under the DPDP Act, 2023

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, you (and parents/guardians of minor users) hold the following rights with respect to your personal data:

Right to Access: You may request details about what personal data we hold about you and how it is being processed.
Right to Correction: You may request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold about you.
Right to Erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data where it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected, subject to legal requirements.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, App features, or applicable legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we will:
